Precision Circuit Technology is headquartered in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Nestled along the west bank of the Mississippi River, Brooklyn Park is home to a thriving tech sector, with easy access to the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area. Our proximity to the University of Minnesota allows for convenient collaboration and access to university resources and ensures a supply of well-trained engineers and technical professionals.
In 2009, Jim Rathburn, determined to find a better solution for the emerging high-density and high-speed challenges in the electronics industry, began developing an innovative and proprietary circuit fabrication technology.
From 2010 to 2020, Jim perfected comprehensive additive and semi-additive methods of fabricating UHDI circuits on liquid crystal polymer substrates. His work included the development of particle-free conductive inks (Cu, Ag, Au, PD & Pl), proprietary circuit printing technology, UHDI sockets and connectors, and advanced packaging assembly processes. His efforts during this period resulted in 37 patents.
In 2022, Jim launched Precision Circuit Technology, LLC, to provide the electronics industry with his patented UHDI fabrication solutions that deliver performance-tuned circuits and interconnects with precision ultra-fine circuit geometries.
Buildout of our new 10,000 sq. ft. facility is underway, incorporating refinements to our previous fabrication capabilities developed by the company’s founder. This new manufacturing space will focus on small footprint, high-mix production using state-of-the-art equipment. The facility will include ISO Class 10,000 cleanrooms, environmentally-controlled areas, conference rooms and administrative and management offices.
